The tallest mountain in Southeast Asia, as Wikipedia puts it, "can be climbed quite easily by a person in good physical condition". This probably explains why on my trek up the peak, I saw people of all nationalities ranging from 5 to 85 years old. The difficult bit is breathing, as the oxygen can get thinner the higher you go. Arriving at the summit isn't just demanding physically, it's also a spiritual journey.

Note: The Canon 60D in the pictures are a friend's, not mine (sadly). Fascinating piece of equipment. Too many buttons for my liking though.
